Job summary

EVRi International in Camberley is seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our premier parcel delivery network. You’ll operate a near-new Volvo, with 9-hour shifts starting around 8am, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and enjoy a disciplined, member‑centered work environment.

You’ll be responsible for safe driving, loading/unloading where required, scanning consignments and ensuring timely deliveries, while maintaining vehicle condition and reporting defects daily.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 driving licence and Driver CPC card.
• DCPC training hours completed or in progress.
• Good knowledge of Road Transport Laws and safe driving practices.
• Able to plan routes and work without micromanagement.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Volvo lorry from our fleet, typically 8am starts, 9-hour shifts.
• Inspect vehicle daily and complete Defect Reports when needed.
• Load/unload at sites where required and scan consignments.
• Ensure on-time delivery and manage routes with limited supervision.

WhatYou’llDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.They’rea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyou’recomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you’ll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedon’tmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, sothere’splenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - butyou’llstill be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.

You’llmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,you’llneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

You’llbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
