Job summary

Schenk UK Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Driver (Class 1 LGV) to join our Harwich team. You will work a Monday to Friday tramping pattern, handling road tankers with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a valid LGV Class 1 licence with minimal points, a Driver CPC, tachograph card, and PDP. Overtime and paid training are included, with fully paid breaks and ADR/CPC refreshers.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points.
• Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Tachograph card must be valid.
• ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7.
• PDP (Petroleum Driver Passport) required.
• Strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation.
• Safety focus and vigilance in tanker operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV Class 1 trucks on a Monday to Friday tramping pattern.
• Maintain safety and compliance with transport legislation.
• Operate road tanker fleet efficiently and responsibly.
• Communicate effectively with depot and on-site teams.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Class 1 LGV to join our team based in Harwich, working a Monday to Friday tramping pattern.

Pay Rates

• 45 hours guaranteed per week
• £18.67 per hour with 10 hour guarantee per shift - This rate is inclusive of Southern Weighting
• £1.68 per hour for all night shift hours worked
• £28.01 per hour overtime - applicable after 10 hours worked Monday-Friday and first 5 hours on Saturday
• £37.34 per hour overtime for Saturdays after 5 hours worked
• £37.34 per hour overtime for Sundays and bank holidays
• £37.44 Night out allowance

Essential Requirements
