Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join a busy transport operation in Portishead on a 3-week rotating pattern with nights out and a salary of £42,000 per annum.

You will safely operate HGV vehicles, deliver to customer sites, complete tachograph records and paperwork, and ensure compliance with all safety and legal requirements. A professional approach and strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Class 1 C+E licence preferred.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Driver CPC certification.
• Regular experience driving LGVs/HGVs.
• Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating HGV vehicles in accordance with all relevant legal requirements.
• Completing deliveries accurately and safely to customer sites.
• Ensuring the correct delivery locations and requirements are followed.
• Taking care around members of the public, customers, colleagues and other road users.
• Completing tachograph records, manual entries and defect reports accurately.
• Ensuring vehicles are operated within relevant speed and weight limits.
• Completing all delivery and associated paperwork accurately, fully and on time.
• Working nights out as required.
• Fully complying with company Health & Safety policies.
• Following all relevant site and environmental procedures.
• Maintaining a professional standard when dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Supporting the wider transport operation as required.

Our client is an established and successful business operating a busy transport and delivery operation. Due to continued demand, they are looking to recruit 5 HGV Drivers, preferably Class 1 C+E, to join their team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe and compliant operation of HGV vehicles, making deliveries to customers' sites, completing all required documentation and ensuring that all legal, safety and operational requirements are followed.

The role will involve nights out and working across a rotating 3-week shift pattern. You'll be expected to maintain a consistently professional approach, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

The Candidate

• Professional approach with a strong focus on safety and compliance
• Ability to complete paperwork and records accurately
