Job summary

Lockwood Group Ltd is recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers to join our growing team on the 4 on/4 off night rota. You’ll be responsible for safe, efficient general haulage deliveries using the latest driver technology with full training provided.

We offer a supportive, family-owned environment and opportunities for progression. We’re looking for professional, safety-minded drivers with a valid HGV1 (C+E) licence, CPC and tachograph card.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence is required.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are mandatory.
• Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Complete general haulage deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Work 4 on/4 off night shifts.
• Operate driver technology and digital PODs (training provided).
• Deliver exceptional customer service at collection and delivery points.
• Maintain clear communication with Transport Team and ensure on-time deliveries.

As our business continues to expand, we're looking for professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team on 4 on/4 off night shifts.

Whether you're an experienced driver or you've recently passed your Class 1 test, we'd love to hear from you. Our dedicated Driver Assessors and Mentors will provide the support and training you need to succeed.

Pay & Benefits

£200.00 per shift

• Basic salary: £36,400.00 per annum
• Performance Bonus: Earn up to £2,400 per year

The Role

As one of our professional drivers, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our customers by:

• Completing general haulage deliveries safely and efficiently
• Working 4 on/4 off night shifts
• Operating the latest driver technology, including electronic PODs and digital walk-around checks (full training provided)
• Delivering exceptional customer service at every collection and delivery
• Maintaining clear communication with our Transport Team
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time

What We're Looking For

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Previous Class 1 experience is desirable, but newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply
