Job summary

Lockwood Group is recruiting an HGV Class 1 driver for night shifts on a 4 on/4 off rota. You will be responsible for safe, efficient deliveries and servicing customers with a professional attitude.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence required.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Newly qualified drivers encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Complete general haulage deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Work 4 on/4 off night shifts.
• Operate electronic PODs and perform digital walk-around checks (training provided).
• Deliver exceptional customer service at collection and delivery.
• Maintain clear communication with Transport Team.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.

As our business continues to expand, we're looking for professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team on 4 on/4 off night shifts.

Whether you're an experienced driver or you've recently passed your Class 1 test, we'd love to hear from you. Our dedicated Driver Assessors and Mentors will provide the support and training you need to succeed.

Pay & Benefits

£200.00 per shift / Extra shifts £200.00 per shift

The Role

As one of our professional drivers, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our customers by:

• Completing general haulage deliveries safely and efficiently
• Working 4 on/4 off night shifts
• Operating the latest driver technology, including electronic PODs and digital walk-around checks (full training provided)
• Delivering exceptional customer service at every collection and delivery
• Maintaining clear communication with our Transport Team
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time

What We're Looking For

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Previous Class 1 experience is desirable, but newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply
