Job summary

The Lockwood Group, a growing family-owned business with over 400 staff across seven UK locations, is seeking professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to join on Monday to Friday night shifts. The role offers a base salary of £42,900 plus a yearly bonus and opportunities for training and progression.

We provide funded CPC training, a company pension, 28 days of annual leave, PPE and uniform, free onsite parking, and ongoing development including ADR and FLT.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence is required.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Newly qualified drivers encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Complete general haulage deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Work Monday to Friday night shifts.
• Operate driver technology including electronic PODs and digital walk-around checks (training provided).
• Deliver exceptional customer service at each collection and delivery.
• Maintain clear communication with Transport Team.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.

As our business continues to expand, we're looking for professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team on Monday to Friday night shifts.

Whether you're an experienced driver or you've recently passed your Class 1 test, we'd love to hear from you. Our dedicated Driver Assessors and Mentors will provide the support and training you need to succeed.

Pay & Benefits

£165.00 per shift

• Basic salary: £42,900 per annum

The Role

As one of our professional drivers, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our customers by:

• Completing general haulage deliveries safely and efficiently

What We're Looking For

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence

• Previous Class 1 experience is desirable, but newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply
