Job summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily refuse and recycling collections with all machinery.
• Assist with refuse loading to complete routes on time.
• Maintain professional conduct and safe lifting techniques.
• Use in-cab tech and mobile devices to complete paperwork in real time.
• Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle/machinery inspections.
• Keep machinery and vehicles clean and in good condition.
• Maintain strong customer relations with the public and road users.

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Driver to join their dynamic team in Oldbury. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily refuse and recycling collections, demonstrating proficiency with all machinery aspects of the role.
• Assist with refuse loading when needed, ensuring that the team completes the route within the service level agreement.
• Carry out all duties in a professional manner, employing safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate for items left for removal.
• Utilise in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed, ensuring real-time completion of relevant paperwork.
• Perform daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles before and after use to maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of all machinery and vehicles, contributing to a safe and tidy working environment.
• Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other road users.Working Hours:

• Option 1: 5:45 AM to 1:45 PM
• Option 2: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• A valid HGV Class 2 driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Driver CPC certification.
• A willingness to assist refuse loaders during rounds to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
