Job summary

Adecco is seeking a HGV Class 2 driver for refuse and recycling collections in London. The role operates Mon-Thu 06:00-14:30 and Fri 06:00-13:30 with ad hoc shifts. Temp to perm opportunities available and you will work as part of a team to meet service level agreements.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle checks, safe lifting, in-cab tech usage, paperwork in real time, and maintaining customer relations. A valid Class 2 licence with CPC is required along with good communication skills.

Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal

Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed

Complete relevant paperwork in real time

Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use

Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.

Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users

What you'll need to succeed

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
• Driver CPC
• Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated
• Willingness to undertake tasks
• Clean drivers licence desirable for all staff
