Job summary

Simple Recruitment Services Ltd in Rowley Regis is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy recycling team.

You will collect commercial and industrial waste from customer sites, carry out daily vehicle checks, and follow planned routes, delivering safe, reliable service. This full‑time role starts early, with Monday–Friday shifts and occasional Saturday overtime; on-site parking is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Good knowledge of UK driving regulations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
• Collect commercial and industrial waste and recyclable materials from customer premises.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Follow planned collection routes and schedules.
• Ensure all collections are completed safely and efficiently.
• Complete all required paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Load and unload waste containers where required.
• Comply with all Road Traffic Regulations and company policies.
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company.
• Report any incidents, accidents, vehicle defects, or health and safety concerns immediately.
• Work closely with the transport and operations teams to ensure the smooth running of daily collections.

HGV Class 2 Driver - Waste Collection

Location: Rowley Regis, B65 0JU

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Overtime: £22.50 per hour after 40 hours worked per week (1.5x rate)

Bank Holidays: £22.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 5:00am

Weekend Work: Occasional Saturday overtime available

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy recycling team based in Rowley Regis.

You will be responsible for collecting commercial and industrial waste from customer sites, ensuring collections are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of customer service. Essential Requirements

Desirable

• Previous experience in waste collection, recycling, or a similar driving role.
• Experience operating waste collection vehicles or using tail lifts.
