Job summary

Adecco is seeking an HGV Refuse Collection Driver to join a team of valued key workers and help make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (no more than 6 points).
• Driver CPC.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to help refuse loaders to complete the route within the service level agreement.
• Clean driving licence.
• Previous relevant experience desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily.
• Undertake all duties with safe lifting and handling techniques.
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
• Complete relevant paperwork in real time.
• Carry out daily vehicle and machinery inspections and reporting.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
• Maintain excellent customer and client relations.

As a HGV Refuse Collection Driver, you'll:

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job
• Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed
• Complete relevant paperwork in real time
• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use
• Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
• Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users

Your typical working hours will be:

45am to 2.15pm, Monday - Friday

What you'll need to do the role:

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
• Driver CPC
• Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated
• Willingness to undertake tasks
• Clean drivers licence
