Job summary

Burdens, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Delivery Driver Class 2 in Nottingham. You will operate 26t vehicles with a hiab, undertake multi-drop deliveries to building sites, and load/unload while securing loads for safe transit.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, no weekend work. A Class 2 licence with a digital tachograph card and CPC training is essential, as is a hiab licence and crane operation ability.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 driving experience required.
• Class 2 license with digital tachograph card and CPC training required.
• Hiab license required; crane operation ability advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive 26t vehicles with a hiab for multi-drop deliveries to customer sites.
• Carry out pre-delivery vehicle checks and ensure loads are secure.
• Load and unload goods, and strap down items for safe transit.

Role Responsibilities

• Driving 26t vehicles with a hiab doing multi-drop deliveries to our customers building sites
• Completing vehicle checks before starting deliveries
• Strapping down goods and ensuring the load is secure
• Loading and unloading the vehicles

Working Hours

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7.00am - 5.00pm - no weekend working!

Candidate Requirements

• Previous HGV driving experience is essential
• A class 2 license along with a digital tacho card and completed CPC training is essential
• A hiab license is essential
• Ability to operate a crane
• Merchant experience is desirable but not essential
