Job summary

Burdens, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver in Nottingham. You will drive 26t vehicles with a HIAB, perform multi-drop deliveries to construction sites, and complete pre-delivery vehicle checks.

This full-time, permanent role offers a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, with no weekend work. The ideal candidate will hold a Class 2 licence with a digital tachograph card and CPC, plus a valid HIAB licence.

Qualifications

• Previous HGV driving experience is essential.
• A Class 2 license with a digital tachograph card and CPC training is essential.
• A HIAB license is essential.
• Ability to operate a crane is required.
• Merchant experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive 26t vehicles with a HIAB delivering to customer building sites.
• Complete vehicle checks before starting deliveries.
• Strap down goods and ensure loads are secure.
• Loading and unloading the vehicles.
