Job summary

Connect Appointments is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work with an established national logistics business based in Stoke, offering a pay rate up to £26.73 per hour and regular ongoing shifts.

These roles involve trunking RDC to RDC work, with 5 days from 7 and 10–12 hour shifts. A DBS is required, plus 5 years of checkable work history for the successful candidates.

There is potential for a permanent position for the right drivers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with a minimum of 1 year driving experience.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DR, DD, DG, CD, IN or TT endorsement codes.
• 5 years checkable work history.

Responsibilities

• Operates HGV Class 1 trunking routes (RDC to RDC).
• Works 5 days from 7 with shifts averaging 10–12 hours.
• Weekly pay at competitive rates.
• Potential permanent position for the right candidate.

Our client operates RDC to RDC trunking work, with ongoing work and the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidates.

Please Note – Successful applicants must hold a valid DBS and be able to provide 5 years checkable work history.

What’s on offer?

• Ongoing temporary position with possible temp to perm
• Working 5 days from 7, shifts averaging 10 to 12 hours
• Paid weekly at £20.82 to £23.85 per hour (£23.33 to £26.73 inclusive of holiday pay)

To be considered as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with a minimum of 1 year’s driving experience
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DR, DD, DG, CD, IN or TT endorsement codes
