Job summary

Pertemps Stoke on Trent is seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join a busy Stoke-on-Trent depot. This role involves delivering and handling freight with care across 24-hour operations, with regular ongoing shifts and weekend work.

You will need a valid C+E licence, CPC and tachograph card, plus at least one year of Class 1 driving experience. PAYE pay rates range from £21.44 to £24.57 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Safely loading and unloading cages of letters and parcels
• Working with single and double-deck trailers with some pushing and pulling

Hours:10 - 12hour duties

Your new HGV Driver / LGV1 Driver / Class 1 Driver / C+E Driver role will include:

• Safely loading and unloading cages of letters and parcels
• Working with bothsingle and double-deck trailers, with some pushing and pulling involved
• Average 10 - 12hour shifts
• Various start times as this is a 24-hour operation
• Weekend work is also required for this role

What we're looking for in a HGV Driver / LGV1 Driver / Class 1 Driver / C+E Driver:

• Minimum1years' HGV Class 1 driving experience, with recent Class 1 work within the last 6 months
• A validC+E licence,CPC card, anddigital tachograph card
• A maximum of6 penalty points(no major endorsements)
