Job summary

Top Gear Recruitment Solutions in Cannock is seeking an HGV1/LGV1/Class 1/C+E driver to join our team on a full-time basis. You will undertake nationwide RDC deliveries or trunking with usually 1–2 drops, loading cages via tail lift when needed, and no handball involved.

The ideal candidate holds a HGV1/LGV1/Class 1/C+E licence for at least 6 months with 3 months experience in that period, a clean driving record, and a valid CPC and tachograph card. Competitive PAYE rate and ongoing work apply.

• Held HGV/LGV/Class 1/C+E licence for at least 6 months.
• Minimum 3 months experience within that period.
• No major driving convictions on record.
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nationwide RDC deliveries or trunking runs.
• Load cages onto vehicle via tail lift for RDC when required.
• Operate a box-sided vehicle with adherence to local routes.
• No handball involved in typical duties.

HGV1/LGV1/Class1/Class One/Category C+E Driver Required

Our long standing client based in Cannock are urgently seeking a HGV1/LGV1/Class1/Class One/Category C+E Driver

As a HGV1/LGV1/Class1/Class One/Category C+E Driver, your duties will include the following:

• 1800 starts working Monday to Friday


• Driving a box sided vehicle


• Carrying out either nationwide RDC deliveries or nationwide trunking - If you are doing RDC deliveries then you will be expected to load the cages onto your vehicle via the tail lift - Usually 1 to 2 drops - If you are trunking then you will usually be asked to carry out a trunk to Lincoln with no handball involved


• No handball involved

The ideal HGV1/LGV1/Class1/Class One/Category C+E Driver will have the following:

• Held your HGV1/LGV1/Class1/Class One/Category C+E driving licence for a minimum 6 months and have a minimum 3 months experience within this period


• Have no major driving convictions on your licence


• Hold a valid driver CPC and digital tachograph card

The successful HGV1/LGV1/Class1/Class One/Category C+E Driver can expect the following:

• A highly competetive hourly rate of £20.17 per hour - This is PAYE and includes holiday pay - We also offer the option of accrued holiday pay
