Job summary

JDR Recruitment Ltd is hiring HGV Class 2 Skip Drivers for ongoing, full-time work in Cardiff. You will operate a skip lorry, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure safe loading and unloading while delivering excellent customer service.

Newly qualified drivers are welcome. The role includes 0600 starts, up to 10-hour days, and a temp-to-perm progression with ongoing work and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Digi Tacho card (required)
• CPC qualification prized but not essential
• Newly qualified drivers welcome

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate an HGV2 Skip/RoRo lorry in line with safety standards
• Carry out site collections and deliveries around Cardiff and surrounding areas
• Complete vehicle checks daily
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach on site

The role:

As an HGV Class 2 Skip Driver, you'll be responsible for operating an HGV Skip lorry to carry out collections and deliveries, ensuring safe loading/unloading, and providing an excellent service on site.

Your key responsibilities will be:-

• Driving and operating an HGV2 Skip/RoRo lorry in line with safety standards
• Carrying out site collections and deliveries around Cardiff and surrounding areas
• Ensuring vehicle checks are completed daily
• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach

About you:

As an HGV Class 2 Skip Driver you will have the following skills and experience:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Newly qualified welcome
• Previous skip/roro experience advantageous
• Valid CPC & Digi Tacho card
• Strong focus on safety and customer service
