Job summary

Smart Solutions is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join our busy waste management operation in Harlow. You will deliver and collect skips, ensuring safe transport and compliant disposal while maintaining professional customer service.

Role offers Monday–Friday days with optional Saturday overtime, weekly pay, and ongoing full-time work in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous skip driving experience is essential.
• Good knowledge of UK driver hours and road safety regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, collect, and transport skips to and from commercial and residential sites.
• Safely transport and dispose of waste in line with procedures and regulations.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Complete all delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Follow road transport legislation and driver hours regulations.
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle at all times.

HGV Class 2 Skip Driver

Location: Harlow, CM20
Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 5:00pm
Optional Saturday Overtime: 6:30am – 1:00pm

About the Role

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy waste management operation based in Harlow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver with previous skip vehicle experience looking for ongoing, full-time work with regular weekday hours and optional Saturday overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver, collect, and transport skips to and from commercial and residential customer sites.
• Safely transport and dispose of waste in line with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Complete all delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Follow all road transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and health & safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle at all times.
