Job summary

JDR Recruitment Ltd in Cardiff is seeking an HGV Class 2 Skip Driver for immediate start. You will operate a skip/lift vehicle to collect and deliver around Cardiff, ensuring safety during loading/unloading and delivering excellent customer service.

Newly qualified drivers are welcome; CPC & Digi Tacho are required. The role offers ongoing, full-time work with weekly pay and an onboarding induction at the site.

Qualifications

• HGV/Cat C licence held and valid for UK operations.
• CPC and Digi Tacho card holder required.
• Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate an HGV2 Skip/RoRo lorry to collect and deliver as required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report faults.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach on site and during deliveries.
• Adhere to safety standards and site procedures.

Days £15.00ph - £16.81ph (higher rate including holiday pay)

Location: Cardiff, CF3

Shift: 0600 starts, up to 10hr days on average

Ongoing contract with temp to perm opportunities

The role:

As an HGV Class 2 Skip Driver, you'll be responsible for operating an HGV Skip lorry to carry out collections and deliveries, ensuring safe loading/unloading, and providing an excellent service on site.

Your key responsibilities will be:-

• Driving and operating an HGV2 Skip/RoRo lorry in line with safety standards
• Carrying out site collections and deliveries around Cardiff and surrounding areas
• Ensuring vehicle checks are completed daily
• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach

About you:

As an HGV Class 2 Skip Driver you will have the following skills and experience:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Newly qualified welcome
• Previous skip/roro experience advantageous
• Valid CPC & Digi Tacho card
• Strong focus on safety and customer service
