Job summary

Simple Recruitment Services Ltd is looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join our Welham Green team. This is a long-term temporary role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for the safe delivery, collection and disposal of waste using skip vehicles, maintaining high levels of customer service, and ensuring all paperwork and vehicle checks are completed accurately. Overtime is paid at 1.5x the standard rate.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 / LGV Category C Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous skip driving experience is essential.
• Good knowledge of driver hours and road safety regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, collect, and transport skips to and from customer sites.
• Safely dispose of waste in line with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects or issues.
• Provide professional customer service during collections and deliveries.

HGV Class 2 Skip Driver

Location: Welham Green, AL9

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x the standard hourly rate (£25.50 per hour if standard rate is £17.00)

Contract Type: Long-term temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent
