Job summary

Driver Resource Ltd is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver/Operator for a permanent, full-time role in the United Kingdom. The position offers a weekly pay of £600 and requires daily morning checks, route adherence, and safe operation of a commercial RCV to collect waste and recyclables.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past two years.
• Minimum of one year driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations for commercial vehicles.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina for loading/unloading wheelie bins.

Responsibilities

• Follow scheduled routes and timetables to collect refuse.
• Safely operate a commercial RCV to collect waste and recyclables.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• Follow company policies for safe handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
• Working hours are typically Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00.
• Seasonal weekend work occurs during one weekend in July each year.

HGV class 2 RCV Driver/operator Job Description:

Duties:

• Carry out daily walk around checks prior to leaving the yard each morning and report any defects using the app.
• Follow daily scheduled routes and collection timetables efficiently
• Safely operate a commercial RCV motor vehicle to collect refuse waste and recyclable materials to designated disposal sites.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers
• Follow company policies and procedures for safe handling of hazardous materials, if applicable
• Working hours are typically Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00
• Seasonal weekend work occurs during one weekend in July each year

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past two years
• One year of experience as a truck driver preferred
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations governing commercial vehicle operation
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina to handle manual labour and loading/unloading of wheelie bins
