Job summary

Driver Resource Recruitment is seeking a qualified HGV Class 2 RCV Driver/Operator for a full-time position in the UK. The role involves daily pre-shift checks, route adherence, and safe collection of refuse and recyclables using an RCV vehicle.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00, with occasional weekend work in July. A valid CDL with endorsements is required, and applicants should communicate well with teammates and customers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily walk around checks prior to leaving the yard each morning and report any defects using the app.
• Follow daily scheduled routes and collection timetables efficiently
• Safely operate a commercial RCV motor vehicle to collect refuse waste and recyclable materials to designated disposal sites.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers
• Follow company policies and procedures for safe handling of hazardous materials, if applicable
• Working hours are typically Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00
• Seasonal weekend work occurs during one weekend in July each year
