Job summary

Simple Recruitment Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a waste management client in Wokingham. The role runs Monday to Friday, 6.00 am–3.00 pm, with immediate start and a potential temp-to-perm path. A £500 bonus is available after the first 8 weeks of driving and a further £250 after 4 weeks, subject to terms.

Benefits include holiday pay and steady daytime shifts. Previous Class 2 experience and CPC/tachograph cards are mandatory.

Qualifications

• UK HGV Class 2 driving licence (minimum 12 months).
• Digital tachograph card & CPC card.
• Good team working and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in waste & recycling is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Class 2 dustcart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry.
• Collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week.
• Ensure completion of additional work and missed bins.
• Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins.
• Maintain awareness of other vehicles/people on the road and drive safely.

Simple Recruitment are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our successful client, who specialises in Waste Management and transforming waste into valuable resources and lessening its impact on the environment.

Bonus: £250 after full 4 weeks of driving and £250 after full 8 weeks of driving

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday | 6.00 am till 3 pm

Industry: Waste & Recycling

Duties & Responsibilities

A minimum 6 months experience in HGV Class 2 driving is essential.

• Drive and operate a Class 2 dustcart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry
• Collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week
• Ensure completion of all additional work and missed bins
• Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins
• Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely

Requirements

• UK HGV Class 2 driving licence (minimum 12 months)
• Digital tachograph card & CPC card
• Good team working skills and good communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
