Job summary

Driver Resource Ltd is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver/Operator for a permanent, full-time role in the United Kingdom. The position offers a weekly pay of £600 and requires daily morning checks, route adherence, and safe operation of a commercial RCV to collect waste and recyclables.

The ideal candidate will hold a CDL with the appropriate endorsements, have a clean driving record, and at least one year of experience, with strong knowledge of traffic laws and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsements for the vehicle type.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past two years.
• Minimum of one year driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations for commercial vehicles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina for loading/unloading wheelie bins.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily walk-around checks and report defects via the app.
• Follow scheduled routes and timetables to collect refuse.
• Safely operate a commercial RCV to collect waste and recyclables.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• Follow company policies for safe handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
• Working hours are typically Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00.
• Seasonal weekend work occurs during one weekend in July each year.
