Job summary

Pertemps Bristol Industrial is seeking an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver in Bristol for ongoing, full-time work across the Bristol area. Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, 39 hours per week.

You'll safely drive Class 2 vehicles, load/unload waste, perform safety checks and keep records on handheld devices. This outdoor, physical role offers overtime and potential for permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Knowledge of HGV driving regulations and tachograph rules.
• Experience completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Comfortable using mobile devices and completing electronic paperwork.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and a strong team player.
• Waste/recycling or commercial collections experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with legal requirements and company procedures.
• Collect, load, transport and unload waste and recycling materials.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
• Tip vehicles at approved recycling and waste facilities.
• Accurately complete paperwork and electronic records using handheld devices.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with colleagues, customers and the public.
• Work flexibly across different operational locations when required.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.

HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver BristolWe are recruitingHGV Class 2 Refuse Driver for ongoing, full-time work supporting waste and recycling collection services across Bristol.

• Monday to Friday
• 6:00am 2:30pm shifts (39 hours per week)
• £17.27 per hour
• Overtime after 39 hours. Lots of overtime available
• Long-term opportunities with the potential for permanent employment

This is a physically active role combining HGV driving with loading duties. You'll be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 vehicle while working as part of a team to collect, transport and unload waste and recycling materials across the Bristol area.

The Role
