Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Class 2 HGV driver to cover Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 15:00 with a 40 hour week and a 30 minute unpaid break. The role involves daily refuse and recycling collections, using in-cab tech, completing paperwork in real time, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety procedures.

Temp-to-perm opportunities exist for the right candidate with a valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (with max 6 points)
• Driver CPC
• Willingness to assist refuse loaders to finish route within SLA
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated
• Willingness to undertake tasks
• Clean driving licence desirable

Responsibilities

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with knowledge of machinery aspects
• Operate safely with proper lifting/handling techniques
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed
• Complete relevant paperwork in real time
• Conduct daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles
• Ensure cleanliness of machinery and vehicles
• Maintain excellent customer and client relations, especially with the public and other road users
