Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of our client in the Bury St Edmunds area for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (C). This part-time role offers shifts every Sunday and Friday, with potential for extra shifts.

Pay is £18.17 per hour PAYE, and there may be a pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate. Requirements include a full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement, valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph, and a clean licence with no more than 6 points.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Hours: Between 22:00pm and 23:59pm Start time

Pay Rate: £18.17 per hour PAYE
