Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd on behalf of our well known client in the Bury St Edmunds area is seeking multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (C) to join the team. Shift pattern includes Sundays and Fridays with potential extra shifts, and pay is £18.17 per hour PAYE.

Role involves transporting palletised parcels, handling runs, and may require loading/unloading with tail lift and pump truck. Full UK licence with Class 2 entitlement and DCPC card are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Shift: Every Sunday and Friday with potential to pick up additional shifts.

Hours: Between 22:00pm and 23:59pm Start time

Pay Rate: £18.17 per hour PAYE

Location:Bury St. Edmunds IP32
