Job summary

TRCGroup is recruiting on behalf of a well-known client in Leicester for multiple HGV Class 2 drivers. Shifts are Monday to Friday with starts at 08:00. Expect 6-8 deliveries and 4-5 collections per day, with loading/unloading parcels and updating statuses in the dispatch system.

Requirements include a Class 2 licence, DCPC, tachograph card, and a clean record (≤6 points). Strong communication and safety focus are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 (CAT C) licence.
• At least 1 year HGV driving experience.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Max 6 points on licence.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Manual handling experience.

Responsibilities

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Leicester area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am starts

Pay Rates: £16.36 PAYE Per Hour

Location: Leicester, LE3

Job Type: Temp to perm

The role:

• 6-8 deliveries and 4-5 collections.
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with Class 2 entitlement (CAT C).
• 1 year experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
