Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in Winwick for multiple HGV Class 1 Night Drivers. Shifts run Sunday to Friday with occasional Saturdays; nights start around 22:00–23:59.

Pay £16.56 per hour PAYE, rising to £17.26 after 12 weeks, with ongoing/permanent opportunities for the right candidate. Role includes transporting palletised parcels, maintaining paperwork, possible loading/unloading using tail lift, and professional customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license with Class 1 (C&E).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on license (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Prepared to undertake a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Shifts: Shifts run across Sunday to Friday (occasional Saturday) - drivers must be available to work Sundays and Fridays.

Hours: Between 22:00pm - 23:59pm starts

Pay Rate: £16.56 per hour PAYE, rising to £17.26 after 12 weeks
