Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our well known client in the Sheffield area for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers to join the team on nights. Duties include safely moving palletised goods, with occasional loading/unloading and contact with customers. Shifts run 22:00–03:00, across Sunday to Friday, with Sundays sometimes finishing around 3am.

PAYE rate is £16.35 per hour. Applicants require a full UK licence with Class 2 entitlement, DCPC and tachograph card, and a good

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.

Responsibilities

• Safely handling and conveying palletised packages to sub depots.
• Emphasising safe driving practices and ensuring precise documentation.
• Typically completing 3 to 4 runs on an average day.
• Drivers will need to contribute to the loading and unloading of the vehicle, utilising a tail lift and pump truck.
• Engaging with customers while upholding a professional and polite image on behalf of the company.
