Job summary

Veolia Group in Telford is looking for a dedicated HGV driver to join our waste operations. You will collect recycling, refuse, garden and food waste from domestic properties in Telford and Wrekin, and drive the refuse vehicles in a compliant, safe manner.

The role requires a Cat C (Class 2) licence, Digi/Tachograph card and Driver CPC, plus willingness to load as well as drive. This permanent position offers an excellent work-life balance and access to training and development.

Qualifications

• Cat C (Class 2) Licence required.
• Digi/Tachograph Card required.
• Driver CPC required.
• Loading duties may be required.
• Customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collecting recycling, refuse, garden and food waste from domestic properties in Telford and Wrekin.
• Driving the refuse vehicles and assisting with the loading of waste onto the vehicle.
• Operating vehicles in line with training, procedures and legal requirements to protect safety.
• Checking vehicle condition and roadworthiness, reporting issues promptly.
