Job summary

Veolia Group is recruiting a Class 2 driver to collect recycling, refuse and green waste from domestic properties in Shrewsbury and surrounding areas, with loading duties as needed. You will drive and perform defect checks, log work on an onboard tablet, and help keep streets clean.

This permanent role offers a 37-hour week, 6:45 am starts, and opportunities for development. Applicants must hold a Cat C (Class 2) licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph card, and be prepared for a mixed

Qualifications

• Cat C (Class 2) Licence required.
• Driver CPC and Tachograph Card essential.
• Willingness and capability to perform mixed loading and driving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collect recycling, refuse and green waste from domestic properties around Shrewsbury and nearby areas.
• Drive a class 2 vehicle and perform loading duties as required.
• Carry out vehicle defect checks and report issues promptly.
• Record work on an onboard tablet and ensure loads are secure and compliant.
• Keep carriageways clean and assist other collection crews.
