Drivers Today are recruiting HGV Class 2 / Category C Drivers for a busy pallet distribution operation at Fradley Park, Lichfield. This is a long-term, Monday-to-Friday role with regular hours and weekly pay.

You will deliver and collect palletised goods using modern Volvo and DAF vehicles, with local and regional routes and a customer-facing role.

The position offers £18.00 per hour PAYE including holiday pay, immediate starts, and potential permanent progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 2 experience.
• Valid Category C / Class 2 licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• Professional and customer-friendly attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and timekeeping.

Regular Class 2 Work – Not Just the Odd Agency Shift

Drivers Today are recruiting HGV Class 2 / Category C Drivers for a busy and established pallet distribution operation based at Fradley Park, Lichfield.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver looking for regular Monday-to-Friday work with the same transport operation, rather than moving from client to client or picking up occasional agency shifts.

You’ll be delivering and collecting palletised goods to commercial customers, working from a modern and busy distribution operation.

The Job

Your Typical Working Day Will Involve

• HGV Class 2 / Category C driving
• Delivering and collecting palletised goods
• Modern Volvo and DAF vehicles
• Commercial and industrial deliveries
• Local and regional routes
• Checking and securing loads correctly
• Completing delivery paperwork
• Professional customer interaction

Previous experience with pallet distribution, multi-drop deliveries, curtain-sided vehicles or general haulage would be particularly useful.

£18 Per Hour – Regular Monday-to-Friday Work

£18.00 per hour PAYE including holiday pay

The main working pattern whilst working through Drivers Today will be:

Monday to Friday | Day Shifts | Weekly Pay | Regular Hours | Long-Term Work

This is intended to be a long-term position, giving you the opportunity to settle into the operation, get to know the routes and become a regular member of the team.

Opportunity to Become Permanent

For drivers looking for something more permanent, there may also be the opportunity to move into a permanent position with the client.

If/when the position becomes permanent, the working pattern may include approximately 1 Saturday in every 6, with an additional payment for Saturday working.

Until then, the Drivers Today assignment is based around Monday-to-Friday work.
