Job summary

Sterling Personnel are supporting a well-established logistics company in Tuxford, Nottinghamshire, by recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for permanent roles after an initial 8-week agency period.

Starting times are 07:30am, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £16–£19.50 per hour. The role involves long-distance driving across England, manual transmission vehicles, and loading/unloading duties.

Qualifications

• Valid C license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in driving.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to lift objects and perform physical loading/unloading tasks.
• Excellent time management to ensure timely deliveries.
• Strong attention to detail for recording delivery information.
• Good communication with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HGV 2 and drive long distances across England.

Sterling Personnel are currently working alongside a well-established logistics company based in Tuxford, Nottinghamshire.

The company are looking to take on multiple driver on permanent and ongoing positions. This will see you starting off through agency for 8 weeks and going straight permanent with the company after this time.

Job Role: HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: Tuxford, Nottinghamshire
Start times : 07:30am (Monday - Friday)
Salary: £16 - £19.50 p/h

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HGV 2 and able to drive for long distances across England.
• Load and unload goods and materials from trucks using pallet jacks and other equipment
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient delivery of goods
• Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure proper functioning
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating vehicles

Experience
