Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV driver for an operation based in Stallingborough. You will drive across the UK, handling trunking and long-distance deliveries with a focus on safety and compliance.

The role offers days, weekends and potential night shifts, at a rate of £16 per hour and up to 28 days’ paid holiday annually. Sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 2 HGV licence.
• Minimum 1 year’s Class 2 HGV driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC and Tachograph card.
• A good understanding of UK road networks.
• Professional and reliable approach to work; strong customer service.
• Flexibility to undertake overnight stays when required.

Responsibilities

• Drive modern Class 2 vehicles across the UK.

Job Description

I am Currently recruiting for experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join an operation based in Stallingborough, working on behalf of a worldwide freight and logistics service.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular Class 2 work with a well-established operation handling a wide variety of freight and deliveries throughout the UK.

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of a variety of loads to customers and sites across the UK.

You can expect to:

• Drive modern Class 2 vehicles across the UK
• Complete trunking and long-distance delivery work
• Carry a variety of freight and loads
• Deliver to a wide range of locations and customer sites
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are operated safely
• Secure and transport loads in accordance with company procedures
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately
• Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers and delivery sites
• Comply with all UK driving legislation, Working Time Regulations and drivers’ hours
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time

Duration: The position is long term, ongoing

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £16.00 an hour and accrue up to 28 days paid holiday a year.Please note we do not offer sponsorship.

Working Hours: This role is days, weekends and possible nights out. 40-50 hours a week.
