Job summary

Jewson Taunton is seeking an Area HGV Class 2 Driver to join our delivery team. You will safely deliver building materials to customers, load and unload, and operate a vehicle mounted crane with professional conduct.

You will cover absence within a designated Taunton cluster (Bridgwater, Chard, Tiverton, Minehead) and enjoy a supportive, safety focused environment with good hours and career progression.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card.
• Multidrop experience is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers safely and professionally.
• Load and unload goods; operate the crane as required.
• Cover absence within designated Taunton area and cluster branches.
• Represent Jewson as the face of the company.

What To Expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Taunton branch and required to cover a cluster of branches.

These branches are; Bridgwater, Chard, Tiverton and Minehead.

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
