Job summary

Jewson Taunton is seeking a reliable Area HGV Class 2 Driver to join our delivery team. You will safely transport building materials to customers, load and unload at drops, and operate the crane when required.

The role involves covering a cluster of branches around Taunton, including Bridgwater, Chard, Tiverton and Minehead. We offer a fully funded induction, ALLMI crane licence, 34 days holiday (with purchase option), pension,Life Assurance, staff discounts, CPC training, and clear career

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required.
• CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card required.
• HIAB training or experience is a plus.
• ALLMI crane licence is preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver building materials to customers.
• Load and unload goods at drops and operate the crane as needed.
• Support team members and cover absences within a designated Taunton cluster of branches.

What to expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role. As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area. You will be assigned to our Taunton branch and required to cover a cluster of branches. These branches are; Bridgwater, Chard, Tiverton and Minehead.

What are we looking for?

A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card

Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
