Job summary

Jewson is seeking an Area HGV Class 2 Driver for St Ives, covering a cluster of branches including Huntingdon, St Neots, Spalding, Stamford, Cambridge & Royston. You will deliver building materials, load/unload, and operate a crane with ALLMI training provided.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC card, and Digi Tachograph. Training, progression, and comprehensive benefits are offered within a supportive team at Jewson/Stark Group.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence is required.
• CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card are mandatory.
• Multidrop experience is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers in a safe, professional manner.
• Load and unload goods, operate the crane on site.
• Support team members and cover absence within the designated area and branches.

What To Expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Jewson St Ives branch and required to cover a cluster of branches.

These branches are; Huntingdon, St Neots, Spalding, Stamford, Cambridge & Royston.

You will be paid travel and subsistence.

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
