Job summary

Backline Logistics is seeking experienced Class 2 (Category C) drivers to deliver freight across the South West of England. The role involves unloading into client storerooms and moving loaded cages, with occasional cash collection.

Expect Monday–Friday work, starts around 06:30, 45-hour weeks with overtime as needed, and temp-to-perm opportunity. The position requires a valid Class 2 licence, CPC and Tachograph Card, and a positive, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience (preferred).
• Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety practices.
• Ability to lift heavy items and load/unload goods.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks.
• A professional and positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Complete training as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver freight across the South West.
• Unload goods into client storeroom and handle loaded cages.
• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Occasional cash collection.

Job description

We're Hiring Class 2 Drivers!

We're looking for experienced and reliable Class 2 (Category C) drivers to drive for our long established client.

This role involves delivering various freight across the South West.

Heavy lifting as goods need to be unloaded into the clients storeroom. You will be manővering loaded cages.

Some cash collection on occasion.

Monday to Friday, approx. 06.30 starts, finish when deliveries are complete so times can vary.

45 hours with overtime after 45 hours.

Temp to perm position

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience (preferred, not essential)
• Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety practices.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks
• A professional and positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Complete training as required
