Job summary

Pertemps Lincoln is recruiting for HGV Class 2 drivers to work on a regular, ongoing basis for our DHL client in Scunthorpe. You will deliver ambient and frozen goods to convenience stores and distribution centres, using an electric pump truck for unloading.

Start times are between 04:00 and 06:00, with some Tuesday shifts possible. Ongoing role with weekday and weekend pay rates: £16.59 per hour on weekdays, £18.66 on Sat/Sun, overtime £22.06 after 42 hours.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C / HGV Class 2 licence held for at least 3 months
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No DR10, CD10 or IN10 endorsements
• Age 21 or over
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable and professional approach to work

Responsibilities

• Complete Class 2 deliveries to convenience stores and distribution centres
• Deliver ambient and frozen goods
• Unload deliveries using an electric pump truck
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Complete relevant delivery paperwork
• Provide a professional service when dealing with customers

About the role

Pertemps are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers (Category C) to work on a regular, ongoing basis for our client, DHL in Scunthorpe.

You will be delivering ambient or frozen goods to convenience stores and distribution centres. Deliveries will involve unloading using an electric pump truck, although manual handling is minimal.

Shifts

• Friday to Monday
• Start times between 04:00 - 06:00
• Occasional Tuesday shifts available for drivers looking for additional work
• Regular, ongoing work

Pay

Weekdays : £16.59 per hour

Saturday & Sunday: £18.66 per hour

Overtime: £22.06 per hour after 42 hours worked
