Job summary

Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) drivers to support a range of local businesses in Grimsby, Immingham and surrounding areas. You can choose regular ongoing work or flexible shifts to fit around other commitments.

Roles involve local and regional deliveries, multi-drop runs, daily vehicle safety checks, securing loads, completing paperwork and providing excellent customer service. Training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required and Driver CPC valid.
• Digital Tachograph card holders preferred.
• Experience in commercial Class 2 driving is advantageous.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and professional with good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Local and regional deliveries to commercial and industrial customers.
• Multi-drop and palletised deliveries.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks.
• Ensure loads are safely secured.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain professional customer service.
• Loading and unloading where required.

Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) drivers to support a range of established local businesses across Grimsby, Immingham and the surrounding areas.

We have opportunities for drivers looking for regular, ongoing work as well as those who prefer occasional shifts to fit around other commitments.

Whether you're looking for full-time hours, additional shifts, or a more flexible working arrangement, we'd be delighted to hear from you.

The Work

Depending on the assignment, duties may include:

• Local and regional deliveries to commercial and industrial customers
• Multi-drop and palletised deliveries
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks
• Ensuring loads are safely secured
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining professional customer service
• Loading and unloading where required

Assignments vary between customers, and we'll discuss the details of each opportunity with you before offering you work.

What We're Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous commercial Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach
• Willingness to work with different customers and adapt to their requirements
• Good communication and customer service skills

Experience of multi-drop, palletised deliveries or general distribution work would be particularly welcome.
