Job summary

Jewson Rotherham, part of STARK Group, is seeking an Area HGV Class 2 Driver. You will deliver building materials to customers, operate a vehicle-mounted crane, and assist team members.

The role covers a cluster including Sheffield and Barnsley, with duties varying daily and a professional customer-facing presence. Induction is provided at the training academy, with ongoing CPC updates and career progression opportunities within STARK Group.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Category C).
• CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card valid.
• Experience in multidrop deliveries is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver building materials to customers with a professional approach.
• Load/unload goods and operate the crane when required.
• Cover absence within a designated area and support branch teams.

What to expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Jewson Rotherham branch and required to cover a cluster of branches.

These branches are; Sheffield and Barnsley

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
