Job summary

Jewson Northampton, part of STARK Group, is seeking an Area HGV Class 2 Driver. You will safely deliver building materials to customers, load/unload, and operate the HIAB crane. The role includes covering absences within a designated area and supporting multiple branches around Northampton.

HIAB training is provided, and you will be part of a friendly, professional team with opportunities for career progression and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence is required.
• CPC card and Digi Tachograph card required.
• Multidrop experience is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers safely and professionally.
• Load and unload goods and operate the HIAB crane.
• Assist and support team members as needed during deliveries.
• Cover absence within a designated area and a cluster of branches (Northampton and nearby branches).
• Be the face of Jewson and represent the company positively at all times.

What to expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Jewson Northampton branch and required to cover a cluster of branches.

These branches are; Market Harborough, Kettering, Milton Keynes, Rushden and Bedford.

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
