Job summary

Jewson Northampton is looking for an Area HGV Class 2 Driver to join STARK Building Materials UK. You will safely deliver building materials to customers, load and unload, operate the crane and support colleagues across a cluster of branches.

Branches include Market Harborough, Kettering, Milton Keynes, Rushden and Bedford. Hours are 07:00–16:30 with alternate Saturdays; we provide induction, ALLMI crane licence, 34 days holiday, pension, life assurance and CPC training.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card required.
• Multidrop experience is handy but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver building materials to customers.
• Load and unload, operate the crane and support team members.
• Cover absence within a designated area.

What to expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Jewson Northampton branch and required to cover a cluster of branches.

These branches are; Market Harborough, Kettering, Milton Keynes, Rushden and Bedford.

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
