Job summary

Jewson Barnstaple is seeking a proactive HGV Class 2 Driver to join our delivery team. You will safely hand-deliver building materials to customers, load and unload, operate a crane, and support colleagues as needed in a busy depot environment.

The role offers structured hours, full induction at our training academy, and practical benefits including a company pension, life cover, and staff discounts. Multidrop experience is useful but not essential, with full HIAB training provided.

Qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card.
• Multidrop experience is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers in a safe, professional manner.
• Load and unload goods at customer sites and depots.
• Operate the crane (HIAB) as required.
• Support team members to ensure on-time deliveries.

What To Expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
