Job summary

Booker Group is seeking a delivery driver to join our local delivery team across Leeds area. You will drive a Cat C vehicle, load at branch, deliver to customers and maintain accurate paperwork.

You will work around 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 pattern with some weekend work. Overtime opportunities and CPC training hours are provided to support your development.

Qualifications

• Cat C / 18T licence required.
• Minimum two years' driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Able to undertake manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Complete paperwork accurately.
• Drive locally to deliver to regular customers.
• Build relationships with customers and ensure timely deliveries.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

The working pattern is Monday to Friday

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

Cat C / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
