Job summary

Booker Group is seeking a delivery driver to operate locally, working 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 rota. You will load stock at the branch and unload at customers’ premises, ensuring accurate paperwork and timely deliveries.

We require a Cat B / 3.5T licence and at least two years of driving experience; delivery experience is preferred. Excellent customer service and literacy/numeracy skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive customer service attitude.
• Ability to read and write clearly and perform basic paperwork accurately.
• Delivery driving experience preferred; valid Cat B / 3.5T licence held.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Carry out manual deliveries and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Build relationships with regular customers and ensure on-time deliveries.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

Cat B / 3.5T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
