Job summary

Booker Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a local delivery driver to join our branch team. You will drive locally, deliver to regular customers, and help ensure shelves stay stocked while providing a great service.

You will load stock at the branch, unload at customer premises, and complete paperwork accurately. Overtime opportunities are available, and the role may involve weekend shifts as part of a 7-day operation.

Qualifications

• Cat B / 3.5T licence required.
• Two years' driving experience required.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock in to the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Drive locally and build relationships with regular customers.
• Support a 7 day operation; weekend work may be required.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

• Cat B / 3.5T Licence
• Previous experience of driving (at least two years)
• Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
