Job summary

Booker is seeking a delivery driver for local routes in the Exeter area. You will be responsible for loading stock at the branch, delivering to customers, and unloading at their premises with accurate paperwork. The role emphasizes great service and building relationships with regular customers.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T Licence / Class 2.
• Previous driving experience (at least two years).
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises.
• Build relationships with regular customers and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Complete paperwork accurately to support delivery records.
• Support local delivery operations during a 7 day week, including weekends.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

CatC / 18T Licence / Class 2

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
