Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver in Camden. You will operate multiple vehicle types as needs arise, ensuring waste is collected and site rules and safety guidelines are followed. Daily checks and vehicle cleanliness are required.

The role offers a 39-hour week with a 2pm–10pm shift, paid at £18.62 per hour plus Veolia benefits and pension access. Essential: full UK driving licence, Class 2 experience, CPC, Tachograph Card, and basic English.

Qualifications

• Full valid driving licence is required.
• Previous Class 2 experience is required.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card is required.
• Tachograph Card is required.
• Good understanding of basic English is required.

Responsibilities

• Will be driving HGV Vehicles such as 18t Dust Cart, 7.5t Cage or 12t Scarab depending on business needs for the day/week.
• Ensure that any spillage of waste is cleared at the time of collection to leave the site litter free.
• When entering premises, comply with any site rules and Health & Safety procedures.
• Comply with all road traffic legislation in relation to your duties including parking restriction, security and weight of loads. The Company operates a zero tolerance on overweight vehicles.
• At the end of the shift, ensure that the tipper is left empty and that the cab is clean and clear of litter, uniform and personal effects.
• Helping out loading bins & containers when required.
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

• Full valid driving licence
• Previous Class 2 experience
• Fully up to date Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of basic English

Desirable:

• Waste experience
